45 dogs and cats impacted by Hurricane Sally could soon be up for adoption in the Tampa Bay area

SPCA Tampa Bay is helping to transport 45 dogs and cats impacted by Hurricane Sally to Tampa Bay on Friday.Hurricane Sally's impact on the Gulf Coast has caused widespread damage and flooding leaving many shelters powerless and without water.SPCA Tampa Bay will be rescuing as many as 30 cats and 15 dogs.SPCA Tampa Bay's regional rescue team will meet the Louisiana SPCA team in the Tallahassee area where they will safely transfer the animals to SPCA Tampa Bay Friday. The SPCA team should arrive back at the Largo Shelter by 6 p.m. The cats and dogs were already on the adoption floor and after thorough medical evaluations by SPCA Tampa Bay some of them may be available for adoption as early as Sunday.To learn more about these rescued animals log on to SPCA website and follow the rescue team's efforts on their Facebook page.
